Purpose: Connecting With Kids
Friendly Friday is a relationship building strategy that increases and strengthens relationships by connecting kids with each other. It helps alleviate isolationism, builds self-esteem, engages in socialization without cell phones and is an attack on bullying.
The most meaningful way to make connection with people, especially kids, is to make eye contact, genuinely say their name and give them a complimentary connection.
A district wide initiative to help create a positive environment that fosters feelings of happiness and joy, for all students.
Take a secondary group, the classroom, and apply the characteristics of a primary group, the family. In other words, treat the classroom and students like family.
Challenging kids to compete in the classroom through a variety of games as often as possible is great for kids. It raises the level of engagement, enthusiasm, adrenaline and fosters team-building and socialization.
